Preference Dividends

These are the dividends paid to preference shareholders who, unlike ordinary shareholders, are not the owners of the business. Preference dividends must be paid before ordinary dividends, […]. Generally, they are a fixed amount for each preference share.

As it says above, preference dividends are dividends that are typically payed as a fixed amount per share to shareholders who do not own the company prior to ordinary shareholders getting their dividends paid.
