BTRFS Subvolume Creation

These are a series of commands or paths that my friend Jean Laufert sent me through the Signal messenger app:

What she was assisting me with in this conversation, the chunk of which was on voice call with text messages used to write down paths and commands, was the creation of BTRFS sub-volumes post-installation (i.e., after the given operating system had been installed onto the device or disk). In this case, the OS had already been installed with BTRFS as the file-system, which formed the volume that was to contain these sub-volumes.

In addition, if I recall correctly, there was already a root directory sub-volume for the system. All we needed to create later, then, were additional sub-volumes.

Further, full-disk encryption–or, encryption for the partition containing the root directory–had been implemented previously on the system.
